Wine Glass Painting
Wine glass painting kits are meant to give you the tools needed and inspire your creative side.
We do not tell you what to paint. If looking for ideas we recommend Pinterest and YouTube. Below we have included links so some of our favorite tutorials.
If doing this at home there are a few things you may need before you get started:
Painter's Tape or Masking Tape
Rubbing Alcohol
Q-tips
Paper Towels
Instruction:
-
Clean glass well using alcohol wipe. Try to avoid touching areas you plan to paint as oils prevent good adhesion.
2. Tape off top of wine glass (about ½ inch down) using painters or masking tape. You do not want your lips to touch the painted surface.
3. Paint your design on the glass. If you make a mistake it’s easy to fix. A little rubbing alcohol
and a q-tip will remove paint where you don’t want it.
4. A little paint goes a long way. Allow to dry completely before adding a second coat.
Trying to add more paint to tacky paint will only rip off your existing paint.
5. Once done, allow glass to dry.

CURING YOUR ART
You can either allow your glass to cure on it’s own by letting it set a full 30 days before use or you can
bake it. We recommend hand wash only once cured.
Baking Instructions:
For heat setting, Folk Art Enamel Paint requires 1 day of air drying and then you put the glass item in a cool oven, turn the heat on to 350F and bake for 30 minutes and turn off the heat leaving the item to cool gradually in the oven. We recommend hand wash only.
